Assistant Vice President Jennifer Speer will assume interim oversight of the University Unions in addition to her current leadership role with Recreational Sports, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
The Counseling and Mental Health Center’s Doctoral Internship Program has been re-accredited by the American Psychological Association. Joey Hannah led the training team to maintain this high standard of excellence.
Andy Lemons (Recreational Sports) presented “Traits of an Ideal Team Player” and co-presented “Stuff Your Boss Wants You To Know But Cannot Say” with Kristin DeAngelo (University of Arkansas) at the NIRSA Region IV Conference. Several Recreational Sports staff attended.
Kate Lower (SHIFT) presented “Making SHIFT Happen: Applying Protective Factors to Enhance Well-being” at the Texas Conference on Student Success. Genevieve Nhan and Gresh Urbanowski (Recreational Sports) served on the tournament staff for the 31st annual NIRSA Soccer National Championships.
Ben Schwertner (Recreational Sports) presented “Add Play to Your Day: Low-Barrier Activations with Big Impact” at the annual NIRSA/ACUI Marketing Institute.
