I hope you have had a chance to stop by the new Alienware Longhorn Esports Lounge on the ground floor of the Texas Union. The space is truly incredible and students are experiencing an elite gaming environment for gamers at any level!
Alienware Longhorn Esports Lounge in the Texas Union
The lounge opened this fall and is a shared vision between the university and longtime corporate supporter, Dell Technologies. Dell’s iconic gaming brand Alienware is making the technology possible. Through collaborative brainstorming and design planning, the Alienware and University Unions teams developed the esports lounge and the larger Alienware Longhorn Esports Arena planned to open in 2023 in the Union Underground.
This innovative partnership and cool new student space is one example of how the Division of Student Affairs is influencing the Longhorn life and striving to maximize the student experience. This new state-of-the-art facility is also giving Longhorns access to exciting new technologies.
